John Cena is one of the most celebrated athletes across the globe. The WWE wrestler’s journey of becoming an icon in the industry is an inspiration for many young wrestlers. However, a lot of people don’t know about Cena’s story. To bring his inspirational story to the knowledge of everyone, Sony Sports Network is releasing a show on Cena.

An advertisement for the same has been released featuring Indian actor Rana Daggubati. In the one-minute video, Daggubati is seen telling the life story of John Cena to youngsters. The actor is associated with WWE and has featured on many shows on the network and also had a chat with The Undertaker before the WWE legend’s “Final Farewell” at Survivor Series 2020.

Now, he will be seen narrating the story of a 16-time World Champion. Daggubati also shared the advertisement and called Cena an inspiration. “Enjoyed making this with @SonySportsNetwk and @WWEIndia @JohnCena. You are truly an inspiration to many!” wrote Daggubati in the caption of his Tweet.

Thank You, says John Cena

As Daggubati called Cena an inspiration, the wrestler-turned-actor also thanked the Indian actor. “Wow. Thank YOU for this!! I’m inspired by those such as yourself who continue to inspire people across the globe!! #NeverGiveUp is a message for everyone, everywhere!!” replied Cena to Daggubati.

In the video released by Sony Sports Network on their YouTube channel, Rana Daggubati reveals how Cena was bullied during his school days which also led him to work out. He also reveals that Cena drove a taxi in his spare time. Notably, Cena signed with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) in 2001, where he was initially assigned to Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW). He then went on to win 16 titles.

Now, Cena appears in the ring occasionally. The former WWE Champion made a shocking return at Money in the Bank and challenged Roman Reigns to a match at SummerSlam 2021. However, he was defeated by Reigns. With WrestleMania 38 around the corner, Cena is expected to miss it for a second consecutive year.
