The bat wings don’t just look epic, they’ve been designed for a very specific purpose.
Feast your eyes on the Thundertruck, a bigger, badder version of the troubled Cybertruck
Move over Tesla, the cybertruck’s got new competition.
This is the Thundertruck and it’s an all-electric beast with bat wings and 800 hp.
The bat wings don’t just look epic, they were designed for a very specific purpose.
The wings are made out of solar panels that fold out and expand over the top of the truck to capture solar energy.
Thanks to the massive bat wing awning, the truck can be fitted with power accessories like fridges and stoves.
And because it all runs on solar, you can take the truck almost anywhere off the beaten track without losing power.
The Thundertruck is as powerful as it is eco-friendly.
Running on a 180kWK battery, it will make 800 horsepower and go from 0-60mph in just 3.5 seconds.
It was also designed with a six-foot-long truck bed, and ramps so you can load your dirt bikes and take them with you.
And if the Thundertruck wasn’t wild enough, the designers have thrown an extender in the mix, making it possible to transform the 4×4 into a 6×6.
The 6×6 will run on a larger 210 kWK battery pack and pack 940 hp.
And the six-foot cargo bed will become a whopping 10-feet long.
Designed by Wolfgang LA, a creative agency, the Thundertruck was inspired by the Australian outback.
It was also designed to rival the Cybertruck.
And considering how many times the Cybertruck has been pushed back, this concept might even hit the roads first.
Elon Musk said Tesla could start deliveries for the Cybertruck “hopefully next year” during an earnings call last month.
But his use of the word “hopefully” didn’t sound very convincing.
The Cybertruck was first announced all the way back in 2019, with Musk saying production would start in 2021.
That clearly didn’t happen.
And after Tesla released a couple of prototypes, which were heavily criticized, there is still no clear answer on when the Cybertruck will actually hit the roads.
