Taylor Swift fans are having a massive meltdown on social media as they debate whether or not the pop idol has made the shock decision to ditch her long locks.
It all started after her grand arrival at the premiere of her highly-anticipated Eras Tour concert film in Los Angeles Wednesday, where she was photographed rocking a wavy blonde bob.
Once the photos made their way online, the Swifties set Elon Musk‘s X ablaze as they sent ‘DID SHE CUT HER HAIR’ to the top of the site’s Trending Topics list.
Many fans believe that Taylor went through with the drastic chop while others insist that it’s the work of hairstyling magic.
The look is reminiscent of the jaw-length hair she famously sported from 2014 to 2016 during her fan-favorite 1989 album era.
Several fans explained that it’s most likely that Swift’s stylist ‘pinned’ her long hair to the nape of her neck to create a faux bob for the night.
One noted that Swift did a similar ‘fake’ hair transformation while promoting her album Speak Now back in 2010.
‘y’all are really driving me crazy she did not cut her hair… she literally did a style just like this in speak now era 2010 and wore it everywhere,’ they wrote.
‘[Taylor] has professional stylists, but tbh anyone can do this at home.’
Swift also rocked a faux bob on the cover of the re-recording of her album 1989, which was released this year.
‘The “Did she cut her hair?” debate is going HARD on twitter. I’m pretty sure she didn’t though and just put in a bob like she did for the 1989 release cover,’ another fan tweeted out.
‘if you compare the ends of her hair on both photos they look SUPER similar.’
Though the debate continues to rage on, fans can agree that Taylor turned out in one of her best red carpet looks in years on Wednesday night.
The 12-time Grammy winner, 33, shutdown The Grove LA shopping center to host over 2,200 of her most devoted ‘Swifties,’ who got a first-look at the concert footage on the big screen.
She arrived in a blue $12,000 Oscar de la Renta gown before taking her seat inside one of 14 sold-out screening rooms inside the outdoor mall’s AMC movie theater.
An insider at the event tells DailyMail.com: ‘The fans went crazy the second she arrived, screaming and chanting her name.
‘Taylor was in really high spirits and was so thrilled to see so many of her fans turn out for the night. She looked like she was having the best time ever.’
The film documents one of the six sold-out shows Swift performed at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California over the summer as part of her ongoing Eras Tour, which kicked off in March and serves as a retrospective of her 17-year career.
It has already amassed a whopping $100million in presale tickets alone and will be available to watch exclusively at AMC Theatres starting Friday, October 13.
Missing from the fan-packed action was Swift’s rumored beau Travis Kelce, 34, as the Kansas City Chiefs tight end is scheduled to play the Denver Broncos on Thursday at his team’s home stadium.
