Starting her career at a very young age, Selena Gomez admitted that she faced a lot of pressure and loneliness living in the Hollywood industry.
In an interview with People, Selena Gomez opened up about the Hollywood entertainment industry and the loneliness she endured for years as a child Disney star.
“I know how isolating this industry can be,” Selena shared before mentioning the stars sitting with her including Amy Adams, Pamela Anderson, Awkwafina, Gal Gadot, Rita Wilson, Mila Kunis and Olivia Wilde, “But moments like this, talking to these amazing women reminds me that I’m not alone, we’re not alone.”
The 1992-born star admitted that she used to have a lot of negative thoughts but tried to look at the lighter side by creating humor. “People say it’s a defense mechanism, however, I think sometimes it’s a great way to forget all the noise. Just laughing with friends or doing something else can bring you a little light,” Selena said.
As a pioneer in the industry, the singer/actress affirmed her willingness to help juniors who are lonely and lost in Hollywood.
“When we share and come together, we create a ripple effect that extends far beyond our own lives. Events like this are a celebration of our shared achievements, and a reminder of the work we still have to do,” Selena said.
