Billionaire Elon Musk has just announced that he will delete Kanye West’s X account after the rapper made a series of anti-Semitic, misogynistic and racist statements.
According to Dailymail , Elon Musk , owner of X (formerly Twitter), confirmed on Sunday evening, February 9, that the public will no longer see Kanye West ‘s account : “Given what he posted, his account is now classified as inappropriate. You should not see it anymore.”
Kanye West’s account has been disabled.
Hours earlier, the tech billionaire had unfollowed Kanye West’s X account. Upon discovering this, Kanye wrote: “Elon unfollowed me so I’m not sure how much longer I’ll be on Twitter/X. If I get deleted, go to Yeezy.com,” referring to his fashion brand’s website.

In his final tweet before his account was disabled, Kanye West thanked Elon Musk for “allowing me to vent.” This comment is believed to be the last straw that made boss X decide to disable the infamous rapper’s account.
Over the weekend, many artists and internet users called for Kanye West to be removed from social media after the rapper continued to make negative and inflammatory statements. On February 8, Friends actor David Schwimmer urged Elon Musk to remove Kanye from X, fearing that the rapper’s anti-Semitic comments could lead to real-life violence.

Kanye West started making headlines at the Grammy Awards on February 2 when he asked his wife to take off her jacket and show off her body on the red carpet . The 47-year-old rapper then took to Twitter to praise his wife’s “naked” act, defending her shocking actions. Not stopping there, Kanye began to launch a series of anti-Semitic, Hitler-praising, sexist and racist comments .
On Sunday night, Kanye also took aim at longtime rival Taylor Swift when he saw her watching the Super Bowl. Kanye criticized Taylor for singing along to Kendrick Lamar’s ” Not Like Us” at the Grammys – the black rapper’s hit about his feud with his colleague Drake. Kanye also called out Kendrick Lamar, claiming that his colleague was being taken advantage of by white people and Jews.
Kanye recently announced that he is autistic, not bipolar as doctors diagnosed him a few years ago, and is currently not taking medication. Before his account was suspended, the rapper said he was in a good state of mind and that making controversial statements made him feel at peace.
In late 2022, Kanye West was also suspended from his X account by Elon Musk for a while on charges of “inciting violence”.
