A woman is filing a lawsuit against ‘Rap mogul’ Diddy for sexually assaulting her when she was 13 years old at a 2000 MTV Video Music Awards afterparty.
Deadline reported that the plaintiff, now 37 years old, filed a lawsuit against Diddy (Sean Combs) in New York federal court on October 20. In the application, she said the incident happened after she went to an empty room to rest for a while because she felt dizzy from drinking a glass of water at a party on September 7, 2000.
“Shortly afterward, Combs and two male and female celebrities entered the room. Combs aggressively approached the plaintiff with a crazy look in his eyes, grabbed her and said: Ready to party,” according to the 19-page lawsuit. .
Diddy, then 30 years old, was accused of pushing her towards the male star who was with her. The lawsuit states that this person and Diddy took turns raping her. Diddy allegedly forced the victim to perform oral sex but she resisted, hit the rapper in the neck and ran away. The plaintiff said she ran to a gas station and called her father to pick her up.
According to E!News, the plaintiff said she was introduced by a limousine driver who worked for Diddy to help her sneak into the MTV Video Music Awards ceremony at Radio City Music Hall in New York. The woman said that after the awards ceremony, the driver took her to a party at a house where she was attacked by Diddy.
“After the attack, the plaintiff fell into a severe depression that continued to affect every aspect of her life,” the lawsuit filed by Texas attorney Tony Buzbee stated.
Tony Buzbee is representing five unnamed people suing Diddy for sexual assault. The lawyer also said that more than 100 people had contacted him to denounce the American rapper’s sexual misconduct, including many minors.
Diddy, through his attorney, denies the allegations. The 54-year-old rapper is currently being held in prison in New York. He was arrested on September 16 for sex trafficking, conspiracy to extort and sending people to participate in prostitution activities. Previously, Diddy was sued by his ex-girlfriend, singer Casandra Ventura, and several people for violence and harassment.
