SAD NEWS: The family did not hold a farewell ceremony for Tu Hy Vien. Her mother shed tears and shared, “My daughter loves peace and hates being followed and scrutinized in public. She also told me that she was afraid that someone would…see more

This is the confirmation from actress Từ Hy Đệ to local media after the ashes of her sister, actress Từ Hy Viên, were brought back to her hometown of Taiwan (China).

According to Taiwanese media such as ET Today reported today (February 6), the ashes of actress Barbie Hsu – who passed away in Japan – have returned to her homeland. Korean singer Koo Jun Yup, Barbie Hsu’s current husband, returned to Taiwan (China) with his brother-in-law Barbie Hsu and the actress’s two children.

Through her agency, Từ Hy Đệ shared: “My sister has returned home safely. Even now, I believe she is in heaven, feeling happy and no longer worried.”

Barbie Hsu also announced that there will be no farewell ceremony for Barbie Hsu in her hometown. She said: “She has always been a humble person. If you miss her, please keep her in your heart. Our entire family is very grateful for everyone’s love for Barbie Hsu.”

Previously, Từ Hy Viên’s mother also sent her family’s wishes to the media as well as the public and the actress’s fans, that is, the family wanted privacy when bringing her ashes back to their homeland. Từ Hy Viên’s mother begged journalists and the public not to flock to the airport, funeral venue or burial place when the family brought her daughter’s ashes back to the country. She shared that this was also one of Từ Hy Viên’s wishes.

Barbie Hsu’s mother said: “My daughter loves peace and hates being watched and scrutinized in public. She has never expressed this publicly, but as her mother, I understand her wishes very well. Therefore, I hope everyone will understand and help us fulfill Barbie Hsu’s last wish.”

In another development, Barbie Hsu’s younger sister has also spoken out against reports that the flight carrying her sister’s ashes back to her homeland was funded by the actress’s ex-husband, Chinese businessman Wang Xiaofei. In the midst of Barbie Hsu’s ashes being repatriated to Taiwan, unfounded claims were circulating online that Barbie Hsu’s ex-husband was responsible for arranging and funding the private jet flight carrying her ashes back to Taiwan at an estimated cost of 400,000 yuan. According to these reports, Wang Xiaofei stressed that Barbie Hsu’s remains must be treated with respect and not as a mere commodity.

The story quickly gained traction on social media, prompting a backlash from Barbie Hsu’s family and friends. Barbie Hsu responded strongly through her manager, claiming that all funeral arrangements, including a private jet, were handled by her family. She expressed skepticism about the lies being spread.

“I don’t understand why there is false information about Wang Xiaofei arranging the flight. The truth is clear, especially now that my sister is watching us,” Hsu said in her statement.

Từ Hy Đệ’s outrage was echoed by family members who condemned Wang Xiaofei for his dishonesty, criticizing the businessman’s statements as “disgusting” and unacceptable.

According to local media reports, the preparation for the private jet, which cost around $69,000, was managed by Hsieh and her husband. The family decided to keep Hsieh’s ashes at home permanently, allowing everyone in the family the opportunity to visit and meet the actress at any time.
