The PlayStation Network is currently down and suffering technical issues. The PlayStation Network issues seem to have started around 4pm CT on Tuesday, April 27. At the time of this writing, it’s not clear when PlayStation Network services will be restored or how many users are impacted. However, it does seem as though the majority of the PlayStation Network services are currently unavailable.

The PlayStation Network service status site claims that basically everything that the PlayStation Network does is not working right now. This includes account management, playing games online, using social features, and more.
Usually problems like this don’t last all that long and services are restored within a short amount of time. We will update this post once the PlayStation Network is back online and all of the services have been restored.

It’s been a hectic time for PlayStation Network users. Sony recently scared PS3 and PS Vita gamers by announcing that it was going to shut down the PlayStation Store on its legacy platforms. After some severe backlash, Sony walked back its plans, and now it seems as though the PS3 and PS Vita PlayStation Stores will stay online for some time to come.
Hopefully the PlayStation Network services are restored soon so PlayStation gamers across all generations can get back to their online gaming.
