The actor opted to shave his head rather than wear a bald cap while filming the movie ‘Flight Risk’
Mark Wahlberg’s bald head transformation is still making a buzz!
On Thursday, Jan. 23, the actor, 53, revealed new photos of the hairless look he sports in his latest movie, Flight Risk.
Reposting former hockey player Tie Domi’s photos on his Instagram Stories, Wahlberg showed himself sitting in the hair and makeup chair as he had artificial blood applied to his nose.
He had hair from ear to ear but a large bald spot on the top of his head as he spoke to Domi, 55, on FaceTime.
More photos of the Ted star’s shaved head, appearing to have a slight stubble, were also included in the stream of posts before Wahlberg showed off a completely shaved head.
“He is the hardest working guy in Hollywood worth a date night to go to the movie theatre,” Domi said.
Wahlberg’s Instagram Stories come after he shared a video of the moment he got his head shaved.
“F— you lookin’ at?” he said in the video, before adding, “It’s gonna come back.”
“Check out @flightriskmovie 🥸🔥🎥🎬 keeping it real🥸 no bald cap🥸🥸 NO CAP🔥,” he captioned the clip.
“More like Mark Baldberg,” one person wrote, while another added, “Should be your new profile pic😂.”
The star first revealed his bald head in an Instagram post on July 3, 2024.
“No bald cap for me😎😂 we go all in,” his caption read at the time as he posed next to his stylist.
Directed by Mel Gibson, Flight Risk stars Wahlberg as a pilot transporting a U.S. Marshal (Michelle Dockery) and a prisoner (Topher Grace) on a small flight across Alaska.
Traveling to New York City, tensions begin to rise as not everyone on the flight is who they appear to be.
Speaking to PEOPLE in June 2024 about his look in the movie, he said, “There was no bald cap. I shaved the middle and left the horseshoe around the sides. We just shaved it.”
“They would shave the top as close to the scalp as possible every day, obviously, because we didn’t have any stubble or anything. So I just hid it with a hat,” he added.
Speaking of his wife Rhea Durham‘s reaction, he continued, “But the most priceless thing was seeing my wife’s face when I took my hat off after getting the hair cut for work that day.”
Flight Risk is now in theaters.
