Comedian and TV host Wendy Williams, 60, threw a handwritten note out of the window crying for help after accusing the health care facility she was staying at was like a prison.
On the morning of March 10, Wendy Williams stood behind a fifth-floor window at a nursing home in New York, waved to paparazzi, then threw down a note that read: “Help! Wendy.” Shortly after, police were called and an ambulance was sent to take Wendy from the facility to Lennox Hill Hospital.

According to TMZ , a psychiatrist at the hospital determined that Wendy Williams’ mental capacity was fine. She took a psychological test called the “Ability Test” and scored a perfect 10/10. The test, which is often used to assess the likelihood of dementia in the elderly, consists of 10 questions about date of birth, address, and who the current president is. Each correct answer is worth one point. A score of 6 or lower could indicate that the patient is suffering from dementia or delirium.

Wendy Williams is under a court-ordered conservatorship after being diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in 2023. She has disputed the diagnosis and is seeking to end the conservatorship. The results of the competency test will be sent to the judge in Williams’ conservatorship case.
Her court-appointed guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, has stated in court documents that Williams suffers from cognitive impairment, permanent disability and incapacitation due to dementia. However, Williams maintains that she is conscious and recently said she is “confined” and “not allowed” to leave the house.
