40-year-old superstar Cristiano Ronaldo only wants to win the Saudi Pro League with Al Nassr and is not interested in personal awards.
Ronaldo’s brace in Al Nassr’s 2-1 win over Al Fayha on November 1st helped him increase his tally to eight goals in the Saudi Pro League this season. The two players leading the race for the Golden Boot are Joao Felix (Al Nassr) and Joshua King (Al Khaleej), both with nine goals.

When asked about his scoring record, Ronaldo said: “I’m happy to score two goals, but the most important thing is the team’s victory. Individual awards mean nothing to me, because I just want to win with Al Nassr.” Ronaldo has been the top scorer in the Saudi League for the last two seasons, with 35 and 25 goals respectively. He needs just 48 more to reach 1,000 career goals. But the Al Nassr captain says he doesn’t mind that. “What I value more is the winning spirit in the team,” he said. “We believed until the last second, and that’s what matters.” Ronaldo hinted at the 14th-minute win over Al Fayha, which gave Al Nassr their best start in club history with seven wins out of seven. However, the Portuguese superstar’s decisive penalty goal caused controversy .
