“MU’s Chance for Champions League Qualification”
Manchester United’s qualification for the Champions League next season depends on West Ham, Erik ten Hag’s managerial position is shaky, and Harry Kane faces mocking chants in some recent football news on April 10th.
MU Could Still Qualify for Champions League Despite Being Sixth The ticket to the Champions League next season seems to be slipping away from Manchester United’s grasp. The team led by manager Erik ten Hag is now trailing the top four by 11 points, with the league having just over a month left to conclude.
However, there’s still a chance for MU to secure a spot in the Champions League. According to talkSPORT, if West Ham can win the Europa League and finish fifth in the Premier League at the end of the season, while MU maintains its sixth position, Erik ten Hag’s team will qualify for the top European competition.
But this scenario may only exist in theory. The possibility of West Ham winning the Europa League is already difficult, and their chances of breaking into the Premier League top five are even slimmer.
Arsenal Fans Mock Harry Kane with Xhaka During the match between Arsenal and Bayern Munich, Harry Kane was continuously mocked by home fans. In fact, many Arsenal fans in the stands even used Granit Xhaka, a former player, to ridicule the English striker.
Both Xhaka and Kane left London for the Bundesliga last summer. While Xhaka is currently with Leverkusen, Kane’s Bayern is struggling in the Bundesliga title race.
Arsenal fans mocking Kane couldn’t end their own winless streak. On the contrary, the striker ended Bayern’s Bundesliga title streak.
Uncertain Future for Erik ten Hag Manager Erik ten Hag is going through a turbulent time at MU. Despite being given significant funds for transfers, Manchester United’s performance under Ten Hag still leaves much to be desired.
Next season, Erik ten Hag’s chances of continuing to lead MU are diminishing. According to the English press, after the managerial positions at MU have been officially appointed, such as Omar Berrada, Jason Wilcox, or Dan Ashworth, Ten Hag will be reconsidered for his role.
In fact, there are already a few names being targeted by MU. Among them, Graham Potter is said to have caught the eye of Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
