The earthquake, which hit on March 28, 2025, originated from central Myanmar but was felt across Thailand, triggering widespread destruction. Eyewitness videos capture the chilling moment when the towering structure gave way, sending debris crashing onto nearby streets.

Emergency response teams are actively searching for survivors amid the wreckage, with fears mounting over the potential casualties. Officials have urged people to stay clear of damaged buildings as aftershocks continue to rattle the region.

The 7.7-magnitude earthquake not only caused serious consequences in Bangkok but also affected many other areas in Southeast Asia. In Myanmar, where the epicenter of the earthquake was identified, many ancient buildings and infrastructure were severely damaged.
