Billionaire star Kim Kardashian said divorce was a heartbreaking event and if her husband did not change, she would not have let go.
According to People , Kim Kardashian shared about her marriage to Kanye West in the episode of the reality TV show The Kardashian that aired on February 13. When her sister Khloe Kardashian confided that if her ex-husband, basketball player Lamar Odom, had not been addicted to drugs, their marriage would probably still be strong, Kim immediately agreed.
“That’s the hardest thing. I’ve been through that,” Kim told her sister, referring to her divorce from Kanye West. “You never know when something happens that completely changes a person’s personality and they’re not the same person anymore. You can’t bring them back to who they were, but you can’t live with who they are. I understand that.”

In a private conversation with the audience, Kim confided: “It’s difficult when you don’t want your marriage to end but circumstances have changed. You didn’t expect it and you never wanted it to end like this but you have no other choice.”
The American reality TV star and Kanye West married in 2014 and split in 2021, sharing four children. Their seven-year marriage fell apart after a series of events as Kanye struggled with bipolar disorder, frequently made negative statements on social media and distanced himself from his family.

In court documents filed during the divorce proceedings, Kim revealed the conflict between her and Kanye: “Kanye has posted a lot of false information about private family and parenting issues on social media, which has caused mental stress.” She also explained: “While I wish our marriage could be saved, I realize that there is no way to save it. Kanye does not agree, but at least he seems to realize that I want to end this marriage, even if he does not want to.”
The couple finalized their divorce in November 2022. A month later, Kanye married architect Bianca Censori. Meanwhile, Kim dated comedian Pete Davidson for about nine months and was rumored to be dating soccer player Odell Beckham Jr. The 44-year-old billionaire recently revealed that she is dating someone new but did not reveal the identity of her boyfriend.
