Midfielder N’Golo Kante has become a hot topic on social media, after he appeared to ignore Cristiano Ronaldo and did not shake hands with CR7 before the recent Saudi Pro League match between Al Ittihad and Al Nassr.

In this match, Sadio Mane and Cristiano Ronaldo both scored, helping coach Jorge Jesus’ team maintain their winning streak in the Saudi Pro League and widen the gap to 3 points at the top of the table. In a video that has gone viral on social media, Ronaldo is seen greeting opposing players before the match begins. CR7 hugs his former Real Madrid teammate Karim Benzema, then shakes hands with former Liverpool midfielder Fabinho. However, when it was Kante’s turn, the French midfielder just quietly walked past without greeting or shaking Ronaldo’s hand, making this moment a hot topic of discussion.

On the field, former Liverpool star Mane was the one who shone brightly when he led Al Nassr to a convincing 2-0 victory over defending champions Al Ittihad, thereby helping the team extend their winning streak to 4 matches and continue to firmly stay at the top of the rankings. 

Ronaldo also got on the scoresheet, helping maintain Jorge Jesus’s perfect winning streak. Just a day after the defeat to Al Nassr, Al Ittihad decided to part ways with coach Laurent Blanc and are currently looking for a new captain.
