And on Sunday the real Chloë Grace Moretz had some choice words for the Miss Universe pagent.
The 18-year-old slammed the format of the show, calling needlessly and overtly sexualized.

The actress even called for the complete removal of the archaic swimsuit section, insisting we are in ‘a new time’.
The young star vented on Twitter as she watched the show live on Sunday night – including the mortifying moment when host Steve Harvey crowned the wrong winner.
‘Miss universe is still judging women walking around in bathing suits,’ she tweeted to her 1,9million followers. ‘If it’s based on confidence, why r we zooming in on their bodies?’

‘It’s a new time.. I think it’s time we cut the swimsuit section from miss Universe,’ she said.
Chloe then turned her ire on the host, and the questions the contestants were being asked.
‘And on a side note.. They just asked these young women “Who’s more boy crazy?”‘ she posted, following it up with: ‘On top of it all, the host keeps overtly sexualizing the young women. What is happening on tv right now ..’
She called for a competition ‘based on interviews and public speaking and philanthropic tenacity’, her comments quickly garnering almost 2,000 retweets and 5,000 likes.

Whoops: The embarrassed host even showed the results card to the camera to prove that it had truly been his own personal mistake
But her indignation soon turned to shock when Miss Columbia was crowned the winner, only for the host to announce he had made a mistake, taking back the crown and handing it to Miss Philippines instead.
‘Oh my god what just happened’, she tweeted.
However she did back the eventual wimnner: ‘Miss Philippines deserves that she felt so genuine and real,’ she observed.
Earlier in the show. Chloe tipped the ‘beautiful strong’ Miss Slovenioa as the most deserving.
