Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, has had a challenging 2024 with a cancer diagnosis and lengthy treatment. In March, she announced that she had cancer and began chemotherapy in February.
During her treatment, Kate has limited her public appearances, only attending a few important events such as the Trooping the Colour parade in June and the Wimbledon men’s singles final with her daughter, Princess Charlotte, in July.
In September, she announced that she had completed chemotherapy and expressed her desire to return to public activities. She shared: “The past nine months have been really difficult for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in the blink of an eye and we have had to navigate stormy waters and an unknown path.”
Despite completing chemotherapy, Princess Kate plans to maintain a light work schedule in the coming time to focus on her recovery and spend time with her family. She said: “Although I have completed chemotherapy, my road to full healing and recovery is still long and I must continue to live each day as it is.”
Currently, information about the type of cancer that Princess Kate has has not been officially announced. The British Royal Family has shown support and solidarity throughout her treatment, with many members of the royal family attending events and activities to support her.
