Avril Lavigne will be bringing her best damn songs from The Best Damn Thing and her six other studios album on the road for the Avril Lavigne: The Greatest Hits tour. The career-spanning run will feature special guest appearances from All Time Low and Simple Plan on select dates.
The Greatest Hits tour will kick off on May 22, just a few days before the 20th anniversary of Lavigne’s sophomore album Under My Skin, at Rogers Arena in Vancouver. The show will run through Inglewood, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and more before making a set of international stops throughout Europe. Lavigne will return to North America in late August with performances in Toronto, Buffalo, Nashville, Chicago, and more. The tour wraps on Sept. 16 in Edmonton.
Royal & the Serpent and Girlfriends will perform as openers on select dates. General sale for the Greatest Hits tour begins on Friday, Jan. 26, at 10 a.m. local time via Live Nation.
Lavigne will be performing songs from across her catalog, including “Complicated,” “Sk8er Boi,” “Girlfriend,” “Here’s To Never Growing Up,” and more. “This is gonna be too much stupid fun celebrating my career with my friends and fans,” the singer wrote on Instagram. “Who’s coming???? What songs do you want to hear???”
Lavigne is celebrating another full circle moment with Simple Plan joining the tour, sharing: “They toured with me on my very first tour, so it’s only fitting we are doing it again!” Speaking of All Time Low, she added: “My boys! We’ve been friends for a while now and have talked about trying to tour together for years, so glad we finally get to do it for real!”
