40-year-old striker Cristiano Ronaldo becomes a new shareholder of Spain’s leading MMA company.
On November 27, Ronaldo announced his investment in Wow FC, the leading MMA promoter in Spain. The Portuguese superstar said: “I am proud to be part of this project to elevate MMA and inspire the next generation. MMA represents values that I truly believe in: discipline, respect, resilience and the relentless pursuit of perfection. Wow FC is building something unique and powerful.”

By 2025, Wow FC will sell more than 5,000 tickets per show, an increase of more than 400% over the same period. The international distribution system also brings the company’s events to about 170 countries.
Wow FC hopes that Ronaldo’s presence will further promote the company in particular and MMA in general, reinforcing the mission of making this sport mainstream in Europe, South America, the Middle East and many other places.
“This is a historic moment,” said Wow FC CEO Arturo Guille. “CR7 is not only a global superstar, but also a symbol of ambition, resilience and excellence. His belief in our mission affirms everything we are building and enhances the future we are shaping.”
Ilia Topuria, UFC lightweight champion, is also a shareholder in Wow FC. He wrote about Ronaldo’s involvement: “Cristiano Ronaldo joining Wow FC is a huge moment for the sport. He represents the highest standards of professionalism, hard work and excellence. Together, we will take MMA to the next level and inspire fighters and fans.”

Ronaldo is one of the best football players in history. The 40-year-old superstar has won Euro 2016, two Nations Leagues, five Golden Balls, four European Golden Shoes, five Champions Leagues, three Premier Leagues, two La Ligas, two Serie As and a record 954 goals.
