Arsenal Rushes to Secure Upgrade Signing in Zirkzee
According to a report from Calciomercato, Arsenal is planning to sign a contract with Bologna forward, Joshua Zirkzee.
The 22-year-old striker from Bologna is reportedly set to leave Italy, and Arsenal is keen on acquiring his services. According to Calciomercato, the Gunners are prepared to offer Joshua Zirkzee a contract worth around 6 million euros (approximately 115 thousand euros per week) to persuade him to move to North London.
While several other clubs in Serie A are also interested in Zirkzee, they may struggle to compete with Arsenal financially. Moving to England could be an attractive option for the Dutch forward.
The 22-year-old striker has scored 11 goals and provided 6 assists across all competitions this season and is sure to bolster Arsenal’s attack. Zirkzee may need some time to adapt to English football, but he has the physical and tactical qualities to thrive in the Arsenal jersey.
With Gabriel Jesus only managing to score 4 goals in the league this season, Mikel Arteta needs a better option to compete for major honors. Calciomercato assesses that Zirkzee has a similar playing style to Jesus but is an upgrade in many aspects for the Brazilian striker.
