Merlin’s eyes are hypnotizingly beautiful. They are unfortunately not functional; he was born almost blind. Its artistic owners have made it a star on Instagram.
Nathanial Green and Elliot Green , both visual artists , went to the Lynchburg Humane Society shelter in Virginia in hopes of adopting a Siamese kitten . The association was organizing an open day that day.
All the cats matching their expectations had already been adopted, but Nathanial and Elliot literally fell in love with another feline . Merlin was still very young at the time; he was born almost blind and his eyes, similar to starry skies , left no one indifferent. It didn’t take long for the artistic duo to make a decision, despite slight apprehensions at first, as they didn’t know if they were going to be able to take care of it properly . They finally adopted him .
Even as he became an adult, this Napoleon cat ( Munchkin and Persian cross ) remained small , which only made him even cuter .
Affectionate , never aggressive , Merlin quickly demonstrated that he was the perfect companion for his owners. Moreover, despite his handicap , he lives almost like any other cat; he is not afraid of much, jumps from quite high places and even sits on the guests’ laps .
Health- wise , Merlin is doing pretty well since his diet was changed . Previously, in fact, he had had a few seizures . It turned out they were caused by gluten in his food.
Today, therefore, Merlin is a happy cat . A happiness that we can clearly perceive by browsing the photos that its owners publish on the Instagram page dedicated to it. The latter still has more than 40 thousand subscribers !
