Vin Diesel and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson have had their first public interaction after years of feuding.
People reported that at the 2025 Golden Globes, Vin Diesel took the stage to present the Box Office Achievement Award. Before reading the winning film, Wicked , he paused and looked at The Rock, who was sitting in the front row. Diesel smiled and said, “Hey, Dwayne.” Diesel’s unexpected greeting made the audience laugh and applaud, while The Rock responded with a friendly smile.

This moment was seen by Western media as a positive sign, showing that the two action stars were moving towards a full reconciliation. On social networks, many comments were also excited, not only because of this reconciliation but also because of the hope of new collaborations between the two stars in upcoming projects.

This is the first time the two have interacted publicly since tensions arose during the filming of Fast & Furious 8 (2016). The conflict began when The Rock referred to some of his male co-stars as “unprofessional” and “cowardly”, allegedly aimed at Vin Diesel.
“Don’t bring star disease here. When you watch the movie, some scenes show my angry face because at that time I was boiling with anger,” the actor wrote.

The Rock then stepped away from further installments of the main series, instead developing the spin-off series Hobbs & Shaw .
After many years, Diesel suddenly rekindled the old conflict when commenting on the role of the muscle star. “It’s very difficult to play Hobbs. I’m strict but realistic, I want my co-star to do well in his role. As a producer, I have the right to give advice to make the film work optimally,” the actor told Men’s Health.
However, in recent years, the two have gradually smoothed over their relationship. The Rock even appeared in a post-credits scene of Fast X (2023), hinting at a future return for Hobbs.
