Taylor Swift Reveals She Would Endorse Gov. Gavin Newsom if He Runs for President Against Donald Trump
Pop superstar Taylor Swift has once again stepped into the political spotlight, this time by revealing that she would endorse California Governor Gavin Newsom if he ever decides to run for president against Donald Trump.
The 14-time Grammy winner, who has previously used her platform to advocate for voting rights, LGBTQ+ protections, and women’s issues, made the revelation during a candid discussion about the future of American politics. Swift noted that while she has not formally backed any 2028 presidential candidate, she sees Newsom as a leader capable of “uniting people across divides” and “fighting for progress in a way that feels authentic.”
“If Governor Newsom were to step into a presidential race against Donald Trump, I would not hesitate to endorse him,” Swift reportedly said. “He represents the values of inclusivity, sustainability, and opportunity that I think young voters, and frankly the entire country, are longing for.”
