A wrongful death lawsuit alleges that Diana Truschke, 78, died due to injuries she sustained after she attempted to exit the Trump International in Las Vegas
A woman’s family is claiming that she died after being ejected from a revolving door at Trump International in Las Vegas.
According to Fox 5 Vegas, the Las Vegas Review-Journal and NBC News, a wrongful death lawsuit was filed against Trump International Hotel in Clark County District Court Tuesday, March 18 on behalf of San Francisco Bay area, Calif., resident Diana Truschke.
Per the outlets, the complaint alleges that Truschke, 78, died due to injuries she sustained after she was “violently” ejected from a malfunctioning revolving door at Trump International and that hotel employees knew the door was not working properly and that the property didn’t comply with safety regulations. :max_bytes(150000):strip_icc():focal(999x0:1001x2):format(webp)/trump-hotel-las-vegas-032625-af6f1fc1e2724101acfcdc404446c8de.jpg)
On March 21, 2023, Truschke was visiting the hotel when she was struck by the revolving door after it sped up behind her and caused her to fall forward onto her face, the complaint claims, per the outlets. She was then taken to a nearby hospital, where she received “extensive medical treatment.”
Truschke died on Oct. 14, 2024, “due to complications from her injuries” after her health “continued to deteriorate,” the complaint alleges, per Las Vegas Review-Journal and NBC News.
Per the two outlets, the family is suing for damages related to medical and funeral expenses as well as compensation for pain and suffering.
Trump International Hotel, which is located along Fashion Show Drive, is managed by the Trump Organization, a holding company for many of Donald Trump‘s business ventures. His two sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, now serve as executive vice presidents and are in charge of leadership in the wake of their father first becoming president following the 2016 election.
