Former lingerie angel Miranda Kerr revealed that she had to undergo psychological treatment after her boyfriend passed away when she was 15 years old.
Miranda said she needed a lot of therapy to get through the pain. The Australian model, who lives with tech billionaire Evan Spiegel and their four sons, said the death of her first boyfriend, Christopher Middlebrook, helped her appreciate life a lot more.
“I think what got me through it was the love and support of my family,” Miranda recently shared on the Beautiful Inside podcast . “When I realized I had to heal from the inside and really appreciate the moments we had together, I realized how fragile life is and how any of us can die at any time.”
Miranda says the loss of her youth taught her that “living in the moment is the most important thing.”

In a conversation with the podcast Not Alone late last year, Miranda also shared this sad story with the audience. The model said she was shocked after the tragedy of her boyfriend’s death in an accident. “My boyfriend passed away when I was a teenager. If that hadn’t happened, I would have married him and lived the life of a simple farmer in my hometown. His sudden death in a car accident was a big shock to me. It was also a lesson to not take anything for granted in life,” Miranda confided.
Christopher Middlebrook left such a deep mark on Miranda’s life that she named her first child after him. In January 2011, Miranda gave birth to a son with actor Orlando Bloom and, with his consent, named him Flynn Christopher Blanchard Copeland Bloom. Miranda also wrote a letter to her boyfriend in heaven promising to name their child after him.
