Most recently, when she appeared on stage at CCTV’s Spring Festival Gala in China, she was healthy and full of life. Some sources said she had the flu, was hospitalized and treated for many days but did not survive. Uzbek media reported that she died of meningitis caused by influenza A.
Meningitis is an inflammation of the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord that can cause serious and life-threatening symptoms if not treated promptly.
