On February 3, Barbie Hsu’s family announced that the actress had passed away due to seasonal flu and pneumonia while on a trip to Japan. According to 163, Koo Jun Yup – Barbie Hsu’s husband – did not travel abroad with his wife. At the time Barbie Hsu was confirmed to have passed away, the male singer was in Taiwan (China). The unexpected incident left Koo Jun Yup devastated and sad. 

According to the latest news from ETtoday, Koo Jun Yup has been revealed to have lost contact. The Korean singer has not answered any calls from family or friends. The most worrying thing is that no one currently knows Koo Jun Yup’s whereabouts. “He is in Taiwan (China), but is out of contact. We really don’t know where he is. In Taiwan (China), he only has Barbie Hsu as a relative and support. Barbie Hsu and I went to his house to look for him but couldn’t find him ,” a friend of Barbie Hsu and Koo Jun Yup worriedly said.

Koo Jun Yup’s friend said they could not contact him and did not know where the Korean singer had gone after he received the sad news that his wife had passed away in Japan.

Previously, on the afternoon of February 3, Korean media Ilgan Sports had an interview with Koo Jun Yup after Barbie Hsu passed away. The actor confirmed that he was in a very bad condition with only 3 words: “I’m not okay” . According to Ilgan Sports ,  DJ Koo’s voice was filled with sadness, as if he didn’t want to believe the truth that his wife had passed away abroad.

Koo Jun Yup said he was not feeling well in an interview with Korean media.

Barbie Hsu and DJ Koo have been dating since 1998. At that time, DJ Koo was a famous singer in Korea and often went to Taiwan (China) to perform. Here, DJ Koo and Barbie Hsu participated in a TV show together, then they fell in love and dated secretly. However, after only 1 year, they had to break up because their managers forbade it. Barbie Hsu married Wang Xiaofei while DJ Koo was single.

In 2021, when Barbie Hsu divorced, DJ Koo took the risk of calling her old phone number. The actress answered the call and they quickly rekindled their old love. After a few months of talking on the phone, DJ Koo took the initiative to propose to Barbie Hsu, and she agreed. The Korean star expressed:  “Let’s become a family before it’s too late” . On March 8, 2022, Barbie Hsu and Koo Jun Yup announced their remarriage. They completed the marriage registration procedures in Korea and Taiwan (China) respectively and held a small wedding at home in June of the same year.
