Actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an intruder at his Mumbai apartment where he lives with his wife, two children and nannies.
The Indian Express reported that in the early morning of January 16, a stranger broke into the home of actor Saif Ali Khan. After being discovered, the stranger fought back and attacked the actor with a weapon. Saif suffered two deep slashes to his back, along with several wounds to his neck, arms and shoulders. His family took him to the hospital for surgery.
“Saif is injured and is undergoing surgery in the hospital. The rest of the family is fine. We request the media and fans to be patient and not speculate further. The case is still under investigation by the police,” Saif Ali Khan’s wife shared.
Recently, the hospital director revealed that Saif’s surgery was successful. The actor was taken to the intensive care unit and is gradually recovering.

According to a police report, in the early morning of January 16, Saif’s family’s nanny was awakened by strange noises. She saw the door to her room open and the bathroom light on, so she went to check. The nanny then discovered the intruder, who threatened and blackmailed her.
The two then got into a scuffle, but the nanny luckily only suffered minor injuries. Saif Ali Khan then discovered and rushed to control the intruder. During the struggle, the intruder used a sharp weapon to stab the actor, injuring him. The Khan family successfully locked the intruder in the bedroom and ran upstairs to call for help. When they returned to the bedroom, the perpetrator had broken open the door and escaped.
Saif Ali Khan, born in 1970, is one of the superstars in Bollywood. He is the son of Indian cricket legend Mansoor Ali Khan and actress Sharmila Tagore. Saif has been acting for more than 3 decades and is known to a wide audience through famous works such as Hum Tum , Sacred Games , Omkara or Race… Most recently, he appeared in the blockbuster Devara: Part 1 (2024).
