Actor Hugh Jackman was turned away by many fans when he confirmed his love for Sutton Foster – his co-star who was rumored to have had an affair with him while the two were still in their previous marriage.

On January 14, Hugh Jackman posted a photo of himself diligently practicing his vocals for Broadway projects. The 56-year-old star shared the post about his work right after he was spotted kissing his new girlfriend Sutton Foster in Los Angeles. So, instead of being impressed with Hugh Jackman’s talent, fans rushed to the comments section to discuss the actor’s new relationship with Sutton.

One fan wrote: “I admire Hugh Jackman’s work, but I have no respect for him anymore after the rumors of his affair with Sutton Foster were confirmed to be true.” Another fan agreed: “I’ve been a fan of Hugh since I was 10. Now I’m 25 and I found out he cheated on his wife. So disappointed. I stopped watching,” “He’s 56 and doing this nonsense. This is the most fake relationship I’ve ever seen in Hollywood.”

A source confirmed to Page Six that the 49-year-old actor had fallen in love with Hugh Jackman years ago, when they starred together in the Broadway play The Music Man in 2020. Us Weekly also cited a source saying that Sutton Foster was the reason why Hugh Jackman split from actress Deborra-Lee Furness in September 2023, after 27 years of marriage.

Insiders have kept mum on the rumours. On January 14, Deborra-Lee Furness smiled as she appeared with her 19-year-old daughter Ava at the Australian Open. The 69-year-old actress, who lives in New York, brought her daughter to her hometown amid Hugh’s public announcement of his new love.
