Paris Hilton  lost her Malibu, California, home amid the ongoing Pacific Palisades fires.

In a social media post shared on Wednesday, January 8, the 43-year-old businesswoman and activist revealed that her Southern California home had burned to the ground. She learned of the loss while watching it live on television. 

“I am heartbroken beyond words. Sitting with my family, watching the news and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground live on television is something no one should ever have to experience,” Hilton began as the caption for her  Instagram post  .

His posted video showed a reporter from Los Angeles news station ABC 7 surveying the damage along Pacific Coast Highway after the fire initially broke out on Tuesday, January 7.

“This house was the place where we made so many precious memories. It’s where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London,” the mother of two wrote.

The  Simple Life star welcomed her son  Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum  via surrogate on January 16, 2023. Her sister  London Marilyn Hilton Reum  also arrived via surrogate in November 2023.

Hilton shares both children  with her husband, businessman  Carter Reum  .

According to the reality TV star and model, although “the loss is overwhelming,” she said she was grateful that her family is safe.

“My heart and prayers go out to every family affected by these fires. To all the people who have lost their homes, their memories, and their beloved pets. My heart goes out to those who are still in harm’s way or grieving greater losses,” Hilton continued, calling the situation “unimaginable.”

She added: “Knowing that so many people are waking up today without the place they called home is truly heartbreaking.”

Hilton later announced that her  11:11 Media Impact team  had already begun reaching out to nonprofits to find ways to help those affected within the community and surrounding areas.

“We are committed to providing assistance as quickly as possible and making a meaningful difference to those who need it most,” he wrote.

The mother of two also thanked “the brave firefighters and first responders who risked their lives to protect us,” referring to them as “true heroes.”

He urged residents to “stay safe and follow evacuation orders.”

“Let’s protect each other and keep hope that these fires will soon be contained… We’re in this together, LA.  Hold your loved ones a little tighter tonight. You never know when everything could change.”

In the comments section of her post, Hilton’s mother,  Kathy Hilton  , sweetly wrote: “ 

”.As of Wednesday evening, the death toll had risen to five, the Associated Press reported, citing the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The outlet also ranks the Palisades Fire as the most destructive in Los Angeles County history. It remains at 0% containment with more than 11,800 acres burned.
