The most beautiful Juliet of world cinema

In 1967, at the first press conference, Olivia Hussey held hands with Leonard Whiting – the actor who played Romeo. At that time, Olivia Hussey was just 16 years old, the sweetest age of a young girl.

Olivia Hussey left her hometown of Buenos Aires to move to London with her mother and brother, and nurtured her dream of becoming a celebrity. At the age of 13, Olivia Hussey began her acting career and became famous worldwide at the age of 16. Not only conquering the audience with her natural acting skills, Olivia Hussey also captivated everyone with her “story-tear-off” appearance.

At the same age as the character in the original work by writer William Shakespeare, Olivia Hussey captivated the audience with her plump face, big round blue eyes that seemed to contain a lake, plump red lips full of youthful vitality, and long, shiny black hair.

Olivia Hussey at that time was a mixture of the innocence of 16 years old mixed with a bit of the seductive sexiness of a young girl. All of this created the image of the perfect Juliet, beautiful, enchanting and captivating.

Over the years, Olivia Hussey’s role as Juliet is still a legend of world cinema. Many people believe that this is the pure beauty of the era and her beauty seems unreal in life. There have been many actors who have played Juliet since then, with both success and failure, but perhaps no one has been able to surpass the title “The most beautiful Juliet on screen” that the media and fans have given to Olivia Hussey.

That ivory beauty helped Olivia Hussey become a legendary  Hollywood beauty in the 20th century, a monument in the world film industry.

A tumultuous love life and the pain of past abuse
