Sydney Thomas has attracted millions of followers on social media after making headlines at the fight between boxing legend Mike Tyson and former YouTuber Jake Paul.

On November 24, Sydney Thomas (20 years old) celebrated having more than 1 million followers on TikTok. Her number of followers on Instagram is also approaching 1 million.

Thomas rose to fame after the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight on November 16 in Texas (USA). She stole the spotlight when she appeared as the “Ring Girl” in this big fight. Thomas was one of five girls working at the fight, along with Virginia Sanhouse, Lexi Williams, Delia Sylvain and Raphaela Milagres.

Speaking to US Weekly recently, Thomas said she woke up to see her social media following skyrocket and then saw news outlets posting pictures of her. “I refreshed my feed and it was just pictures of me and memes and everything. I think that was the moment I thought, ‘Oh my gosh, I’m actually getting famous,'” she said.

Fame has also brought Thomas opportunities to collaborate with new brands, shows, and events. “My inbox is crazy flooded right now. There are definitely some big names and brands reaching out to me.”

Many people said that Thomas was “the real winner” when the Tyson-Paul fight fell short of viewer expectations. Thomas was overwhelmed by the attention, but also felt lucky and grateful. “I knew it was going to be great, just knowing it was streaming on Netflix and it was such an iconic fight. But I had no idea that all the attention would shift from the outcome of the fight to a Ring Girl. I didn’t even think about that when I started,” she said.

Thomas is now a senior at the University of Alabama. She said her immediate plans are to continue going to school, graduate, get a degree and “see where the opportunities take me in the future.”

“I’m also going to continue building my social media presence, working with Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions. I’m going to be a Ring Girl while pursuing modeling and sharing that with the audience I’ve built on social media,” Thomas told US Weekly.
