Unfortunately, suffering from Progeria premature aging syndrome, the boy Bayezid Hossain from the suburbs of Magura district, southern Bangladesh, looks much older than his peers. Even though he was only 4 years old, his face was sagging, his skin was wrinkled, and his eye sockets were sunken like a true 80-year-old man.
The cruel disease not only seriously affected Bayezid’s appearance but also limited all of his daily activities. In addition to having difficulty urinating, I often have knee pain and difficulty eating because most of my teeth have loosened.
Although he has a different appearance, the 4-year-old boy’s intelligence is much more developed than his peers. However, this advantage is not enough to make the children or residents in the area have good sympathies and want to interact with her. Being shunned by others also affected my psychology to some extent. According to Tripti Khatun, the boy’s mother, Bayezid is quite stubborn, impatient and very prickly.
It is known that Tripti gave birth to Bayezid when she was 14 years old. When she first saw her child, she was also extremely shocked. Tripti herself also saw her child as looking like an alien. Even though she is very intelligent, her different appearance prevents her child from living like a normal child.
Despite receiving donations from many benefactors, up to now, this poor boy’s condition has not improved. Experts say Bayezid is a rare case. Most likely, I will not live past the age of 15.
