Mbappe Successor: PSG is preparing to launch a new summer transfer swoop for Marcus Rashford

According to reports, as Paris Saint-Germain prepare a roster to replace Kylian Mbappe, they are prepared to rekindle their interest in Marcus Rashford.

In the summer of 2022, the champions of the Ligue 1 offered the Manchester United forward a weekly salary of £400,000 in an effort to entice him to join them in Paris.

Rashford committed to Manchester United until 2028 with a new contract he inked in July, which was paid £300,000 per week.

But the tables have turned after a lackluster season in which he has scored four goals—and United’s campaign has taken even another Һit when he called in sick to training after a purported 12-hour drinking spree in Belfast.

According to caughtoffside.com, PSG may now launch a new bid for the England forward this summer—but only if the player expresses interest in the transfer.

Although signing Rashford is not currently high on their priority list, they are considering a move for a striker who, when fully fit, can produce spectacular performances.

After Rashford netted 30 goals in the previous season, United signed him to a new contract and made him a club ambassador for the upcoming seasons.

If Mbappe leaves PSG, they may feel even greater pressure to bring in a striker.

In the summer, before his contract expires, he will reportedly advise them of his decision, according to AS.

In the face of persistent interest from Real Madrid, Mbappe’s present club has the option to extend his contract by another year, keeping him from leaving for free this summer and costing them £153 million more than they originally paid for him.

In Manchester United’s 4-3 victory over Wolves, Rashford scored after making a comeback to the starting lineup and was reportedly ‘took responsibility’ for his actions.
