Taylor Swift proved that sometimes, revenge is best served hot.
The singer, who recently split from One Direction star Harry Styles, made a solo arrival at the Golden Globe awards in a daring backless Donna Karen Atelier gown.
And while the fitted plum number showed off Taylor’s slim figure, it also revealed a bit too much with the cutaway sides giving a glimpse of her stick-on bra underneath.
With her hands strategically placed on her hips, the country crooner looked ravishing in the piece which formed into a fishtail bottom.
The 23-year-old teamed her confection with drop earring and wrapped her blonde locks up in a low bun.
She is at the prestigious event because she is nominated in the Best Original Song category.
Her track Safe & Sound featured on the soundtrack of last year’s The Hunger Games movie and whether she wins or not, Taylor said she was overjoyed to have been invited.
She told E! network’s red carpet host, Ryan Seacrest: ‘It’s amazing to be nominated for Best Original Song. I’m so thrilled to be here. it’s such a fancy night.’
Taylor said that she was approached and asked to write from the point of view of the main character and the music came from there.
She continued: ‘Lionsgate Film came to us and said, “We want you to write from Katniss’ point of view” . . . My co-writers the Civil Wars and T-Bone Burnett were amazing. We had this idea that we wanted the song to be about the empathy that goes into this film .
‘We wanted to highlight the fact that there’s a lot of heart beneath all that.’
The star also shared that it was great experience performing at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rocking’ Eve recently, a celebration where she kissed One Direction’s Harry at midnight.
However Taylor avoided talking about the heartthrob when she was interviewed on the red carpet.
She simply answered about the bash: ‘It’s cold but it’s the most exciting experience.’
Despite her recent split, Taylor was rather outgoing when greeting her admirers and waved to onlookers outside the venue.
Once inside the venue she posed with comedic actress Kristen Wiig and the newly-single star seemed to be having a great time meeting new people.
