Cena and Show feuded several times in different years when both men were at different stages of their WWE careers. Not all aspects of their rivalry were great as it felt recycled at times, but their rivalry had a lot of highlights which benefited Cena in the long run to become a major star. Big Show was five months into his WWE United States Championship reign when he defended the title against John Cena in the curtain-raiser at WrestleMania 20. This was a superb opening match to kick off WrestleMania 20, and it was Cena’s debut WrestleMania appearance.
Credit has to be given to Show as he was carrying an injury, but he wanted to help get Cena over which is a testament to his professionalism. Cena executed the AA, but Show kicked out. Nevertheless, Cena resorted to using a weapon, and he connected with a second AA which was enough to become the United States Champion which was his first taste of gold in WWE.
A couple of years later, Big Show and John Cena were once again rivals, and King Booker was involved in their feud. Show was the reigning ECW Champion, Cena was the WWE Champion, and Booker held the World Heavyweight Championship.
This led to the trio having a triple threat match at Cyber Sunday 2006 with King Booker’s World Heavyweight Championship getting the most votes at 67% to defend his title. Both Cena and Show had the opportunity to become double World Champions, but Kevin Federline interfered by attacking Cena which allowed Booker to nail Cena with the World Heavyweight Championship and be crowned as the “Champion of Champions.”

During the March 9, 2009 edition of Raw, there was going to be a contract signing between Edge and Show, but John Cena blackmailed Vickie as he would have revealed her affair with Show. 4 Big Show Turned Heel By Helping John Laurinaitis
Big Show was given his marching orders by John Laurinaitis as he was mocking Laurinaitis’ voice. It was no laughing matter when the World’s Largest Athlete was no longer an active WWE performer.
In one of the worst main events in WWE history at Over the Limit 2012, John Cena squared off with Laurinatis and was in cruise control of proceedings. However, since Show wasn’t an active talent, he could interfere, and he nailed Cena with his WMD turning heel once again and reigniting their feud.
