The football world has just received shocking news when Liverpool striker Diogo Jota passed away at the age of 28 after a car accident.

A heartbreaking tragedy has just occurred in the football world. According to Marca, Liverpool star Diogo Jota has just passed away at the age of 28 after a car accident in Zamora (Spain).

Diogo Jota and his brother Andre (who is also a professional footballer for Penafiel) were on holiday there when their car lost control and went off the road, then burst into flames at km 65 on the A-52 motorway, in the Cernadilla area.

The accident occurred at 1:30 a.m. local time. Traffic Police, Zamora Provincial Fire Brigade, along with the Emergency Medical Unit and doctors from the Mombuey Medical Center were quickly on the scene.

However, they were unable to save the Jota brothers. The car was engulfed in flames and spread to nearby vegetation.
